Eric Zimitis joined Granite Ventures in 2000. Prior to Granite, Eric was Managing Director and head of the Communications Research Group at Hambrecht & Quist and Chase H&Q. Eric was one of the first research analysts to cover internet infrastructure and related IP technologies and services including security, content delivery and hosting. Prior to H&Q, Eric was a General Partner at Volpe, Welty & Company.

Eric serves on the Boards of Directors for AirTight Networks, Empowered Careers, Pelican Imaging, Quantance, and RGB Networks. He was responsible for Granite’s investments in Speakeasy, acquired by Best Buy, RF Magic, acquired by Entropic (NASDAQ: ENTR), RipCode, acquired by RGB Networks, Percello, acquired by Broadcom, Localmind, acquired by Airbnb, and Ozmo Devices, acquired by Atmel. Eric received a B.S.E. in biomedical engineering from Purdue University and an M.B.A. from Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business.
